  • Can you tell me about your past house-sitting experiences?

I have house-sat for both families and busy professionals traveling locally and abroad I.E.

  • How do you handle emergencies, such as a burst pipe or break-in, while house-sitting?

I keep a list of my own licensed sub-contractors I keep handy aside from the property owner’s list of emergency contacts following any instruction the homeowner may provide as a liaison to the homeowner collaborating with the service provider until the situation is resolved remaining on the property at all times while the service provider is onsite.

  • What steps do you take to ensure the security of the house while you are sitting?

Emergency assistance is available around the clock. For property owners who do not require overnight stays, I am on-call 24/7 to address urgent issues confirming all windows and doors are locked keeping curtains and blinds closed for added privacy and security while monitoring home security systems regularly monitoring thermostats, lighting systems, cameras, and pet monitoring technology quickly reporting any issues to the appropriate agencies staying proactive to maintain a secure environment. My objective is to ensure the safety of your property, allowing you to focus on what matters most, your peace of mind. Rest assured knowing that help is just a call away.

  • How do you care for pets while house-sitting?

Caring for your pets is the best part of house sitting for me. Providing a balanced diet, regular exercise, and regular vet check-ups are essential to their health and happiness. Spending time with them understanding their needs helps to strengthen a bond creating a safe space for your pets to thrive. I follow pet care instructions and schedules provided by the homeowners to include feeding and walking pets on schedule, ensuring your pets have fresh clean water, providing plenty of attention and playtime. I am comfortable administering medication if needed handling any special care requirements for your pets. Any minor incidents involving pets will be included on the daily report I.E. applying a hot spot spray on a particularly hot day. In case of an emergency I have the vet’s number on the homeowner’s emergency call list contacting the homeowner via call, text, or other form of communication the home owner so chooses instructing as to how to move forward.

  • How do you manage household tasks such as cleaning and plant care?

A clean space is a happy space! Light cleaning services ensure that all your appliances and property are kept spotless and tidy, creating a welcoming environment for a fresh and organized home. I maintain the house in the condition it was left by regularly cleaning living areas, maintain trash and recycling, as well ensuring all appliances and light fixtures are in working order. I regularly check to ensure your plants and garden thrive providing them plenty of sunlight and water giving your garden the right balance of light and water to foster healthy growth and vibrant blooms following watering schedules and any specific care instructions requested by the homeowner maintaining healthy plants and gardens.

  • Why do you enjoy house-sitting?

IHouse Sitting for me simply put is my way of doing what I love to do remaining in the Hospitality industry. I take pride in providing excellent care and attention to the properties I look after. I must say the best part of house sitting is pet sitting.
